Pastor Scott with a brown trout

Pastor Scott Hayes

A follower of Christ, a husband, a father of three and a pastor not to mention an avid outdoorsman.  Hunting, fishing, camping, and just out seeing Creation where you'll find him most of his sabbath time.

Pastor Scott's Story

Scott grew up in Michigan with a love for fishing while chasing a career as a professional bowler and pro shop owner/operator.  He came to Christ through a dream at around age 28 and accepted Him as Savior that same day while sitting on his workbench in his pro shop.  At the time he bowled professionally on the PBA regional tour, fished competitively local and state bass tournaments and managed three bowling pro shops.  A couple of years later, he met his wife online and they married.  Not long after, he would transition from the pro shop world and start to work for Ebonite Intl. as a district sales manager.  While traveling he received a call into ministry and the real adventure began.  Through a move of God, Scott moved out of the secular world and into the world of ministry while studying online.  After two years of studying and three years of being a part time youth minister (and working many part time jobs to make ends meet), he transitioned into full time ministry as a lead pastor.  Somewhere in the hustle and bustle of things, he picked up a love for hunting and turned into much more of a fly fisherman.  He was introduced to the Michigan fall salmon run and that's how His Great Outdoors began to take shape.  As he and his son grew in experience, they would take friends with them to introduce them to the sport and good spiritual conversations just seemed to happen.  Eventually, Scott would sell his bass boat so he could get a drift boat and take more friends.  Want to learn more.....check out the blog posts by clicking the button below.
